I'm thrilled to be offered this exciting opportunity to lead Sovereign Brass into the next phase of its development. I have been impressed not only with the band's musical commitment, but also with its professional approach to band management. I look forward to contributing to the band's wide-ranging aspirations from continued contest success, innovative concert projects, and having a profile and presence in the local community.
Sovereign Brass Chair Phil Green is delighted:
I've known Trevor for over 30 years as a trumpeter, organiser, and Musical Director. He has brass music running through his veins and I can't think of a better MD for Sovereign Brass at this time in our development. Trevor's years of experience, working with the best brass musicians, educators, and administrators, will add so much to the work that Alan did previously. This will be an exciting time for the band as we push on to further re-establish ourselves in the concert and contest arenas.
Trevor's first public engagement as the band's permanent MD will be at the Sovereign Series: Autumn Brass concert on Sunday 20th October.
